Snow Day

Fresh nutmeg, peppercorns and clove blend seamlessly with blackberries, plums and oak moss. This is all laid out on a bed of a hint of cool mint and some fizz and effervescence for good measure.

Before school apps and text alerts, you sat in front of the television waiting for your district to scroll across the bottom of the screen.

Then you saw it: CLOSED.

Out came the boots, sleds and mismatched mittens. By lunchtime, there was a snowman in the yard and wet clothes piled by the door.

Snow Day brings back the unexpected days off that felt like winning the lottery.
